British cycling is going to try and revive the triumph they had at the London Track World Cup as their best and leading riders will assemble at the place.
In the London 2012 track, Britain got 7 gold medals and the is well aware of the fact that something of that kind or even better is expected out of them this time in order to make the board have only the name of the country. The only disappointment the team faced last time was in the World Championships where they won only two gold medals.
The London Track World Cup is starting tomorrow at the Olympic velodrome and this will be a three-day event. The new head of British Cycling Shane Sutton said that London is only concerned about managing the Expectations of the people. Everyone wants their home team to be successful but it is the Olympic qualification and scoring points for that is going to be a tough competition. Everyone has the memory of London 2012 fresh in their mind and the public are expecting something like that again.
They have been a great team in London and they want to be the same thing in Rio too. For that, it is being made sure that the riders perform to their best and so are given an environment that is relaxed and doesn’t put much pressure on them.
Double gold medalists like Jason Kenny and Laura Trott will be among the many stars of 2012 to take part in the race this time. Tomorrow the crowd will see Kenny riding the team sprint and the kiering while Trott will be seen on Saturday riding the scratch race, team pursuit and omnium. The final race is believed to be an advantage for Trott.
